Yo-Yo Ma!!!  ...or, Boutros Boutros-Ghali!!!  if you prefer.  That pretty much sums up the day for me today at Crissy Field.

It was WINDY!

I would have snapped some pics/video, but realized that my memory card was missing when I turned on my camera :-(... sorry.  My buddy, chibichibi, took a few shots, so maybe he'll contribute to this post later.

Anyway, it was freakin' windy today.  I arrived to see lots of whitecaps and lots of wind.  There were a few sailors pretty far upwind despite the big flood, so it was definitely 74l wave board and 4.2 time for me :-D

It was really a pretty kick-ass sesh... totally intense and gratifying.  The water got choppier and choppier, and the wind got stronger and stronger as the day went on.  The chop was so steep and close together on the inside... it actually made it a little bit tough to get out as you just couldn't get settled in before a big ramp would present itself and knock you off balance.  That said, you could bear off the wind, pick up speed, and effectively space out the chop a bit to make it easier...  and then head up a touch to hit a big, steep ramp.   The ramps were definitely very loop-friendly today, and I think I got the longest stalled-forward I've ever done.

I'm exhausted... in a good way :-D
